Earning Support for Families After a Thousand Oaks Accidents
Families left to grieve the loss of a loved one will wonder how to seek justice against an at-fault driver. California allows close relatives to protect themselves from financial harm by filing a wrongful death lawsuit that targets the at-fault driver’s auto insurance policy.
Family members should earn help with the expense of a memorial and burial and the fees emergency responders will charge them. A wrongful death claim also seeks help with the loss of the financial support the victim may have provided the family through his or her job.
A close relative, like a spouse or child of the victim, can file this claim on behalf of the rest of the family. A personal injury attorney is also allowed to file this claim for the family. An attorney will work to secure support for family members while allowing them time to mourn their loss without financial worry.
