Inclement Weather hits West Coast, Causes Car Accidents in WA, OR, CA
On December 15, 2016, drivers in Oregon had to seek out cars stuck in the snow.
On the same day in LA, there were hundreds of car accidents due to heavy rain.
On December 16, 2016, in Venice California, the stormy weather led to a huge tree limb snapping and landing on a street, blocking the entire roadway of Coeur d’Alene Avenue.
Of course, that is not to be confused with Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where cars have been in several accidents due to icy and snow covered roads.
On December 19 & 20, freezing rain resulted in car accidents Spokane.
Avoiding accidents in precipitation
If you live in one of these areas and see snow.. Slow down! After a certain speed on the snow, you just have no more control over the vehicle. Things may be fine and dandy while you’re going straight, but when a curve comes, things can go badly.
Ice – don’t drive at all. Unless you have chains or metal spikes in your tires, you probably won’t be able to safely navigate the roads.
Rain – Ok LA. I know it is a drought, but soes everyone have to keep doing 80 when there is an inch of water on the ground?
